The SUK SHUGLIE Suite

“I've always envied artists or people who could express their innermost thoughts as visual works. Ever since I can remember, I was always attracted to the arts, whether it be music, dance sculpture, or painting. I always felt that I belonged.”

The LINDA MYLIN ROSS Suite

Ms. Ross is an assistant professor at Penn State’s Harrisburg campus and teaches art history, art education, and studio art courses there. Her work has won local, region, and national awards.

The SUSAN DARLING Suite

“I am passionate about collage. I find every aspect of it appealing. There is rummaging and collecting. Just looking for and finding things to use in the process is like a wonderful scavenger hunt. There is a feel to collage: papers of different weights, surface qualities and textures. Feathers, bottle caps, and stones offer their own delights. Collage is full of play for me. The subject of my work could easily be the color of the sky I saw the other day or the shape of a leaf that I picked up while walking. Many times I let the materials dictate what I do with them. I feel my collages are like poetry or music where I work towards an emotional response to pure color, shape, pattern form and texture.”

The ANDREW WAPINSKI Suite

“I would like the viewer, if even for a split second, to contemplate the totality of his natural surroundings. As for my own experience, painting nature through abstraction has become a true investigation of the driving forces and elements that make up the entirety of the world around us.”

The MITCH LYONS Suite

Mitch Lyons pioneered the innovative process of monotype printing with clay and leads workshops on the process. He received his MFA from the Tyler School of Art and has taught art courses at several universities and colleges around the country.
