Supporting The Arts
in Lancaster

Support the local art scene

The art scene can only stay alive through the contributions of the people who enjoy experiencing it. The visual arts, theater, and even musicians can only continue to entertain us if we continue to support the endeavor of creating art!

Lancaster Arts Hotel is thrilled to help Music For Everyone bring their “Keys to the City” piano program back to the streets of Lancaster! This year we’re proudly hosting one of the pianos in their funky, interactive exhibit designed to provide access to musical opportunity, foster creativity, and build a sense of community. This event is just one way we continue to support the local art scene and encourage people to experience the joy of music and art.

Loved our stay here. All the staff were hospitable, warmly welcoming and accommodating to our requests. The suite was generously sized, large garden tub and brick decor, warm lighting no harsh LEDs. Kitchen staff of ONE for our breakfast (due to a call out like most places short staffed the last two years) did a superb job. She was so conscientious but everything was out and ready for guests as planned.

I hope they appreciate this woman as she was preparing then washing dishes, doing it all, to keep the guests happy and will no meal time sacrifice. The auto waffle maker prepared fluffy waffles, the best comp breakfast I’ve seen in awhile. Beautifully decorated for the holidays inside and out.

These aching bones, never felt a softer bed. Had the feeling of a big brass bed I once claimed at a chaotic party hosted by the beautiful people. It was a beautiful rest and I awoke hungry. The Coffee was hot, strong and unbelievably mild. My first thought was to set it down, but energy only changes form, so drank deeply and shook off the paralyzer of a substantially good night’s sleep.

Oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast at a bar serving instant hotcakes. I was humbled. The interior of the house is striking and eclectic. There are exposed bricks in nearly all corners screaming to be explored. Lighting in my room was unique and awkward to some extent. I would have gone with less minimalist fixtures(track lighting etc.) though the diversity lent itself to differing light preferences. The location is niche on an abundance of scales and a local guide is highly recommended to decide if he/she/they could even consider staying at a chain hotel charging more per night for what passes as posh. John J Jeffries Restaurant, The Fridge, The YMCA and Lombardos are the most accessible utilitarian neighbors. Perfect for the local community to vette a traveller on the road for beauty and adventure without so much pomp, yet boasting all the bells and whistles 😜 . All in all, a hotel in name but frankly, this destination is a standing reservation for a romantic staycassion and no vacancy is my heartbreak. Likely, the next stay here will kick off an amazing hiatus from the search. Don’t take my word, Discovery awaits!!!

Beautiful hotel with an artsy vibe to it. Love the idea that the hotel sits in an original tobacco storage building. What’s different and creative about the Lancaster Hotel is they placed a sketch pad in the room to encourage you to sketch something memorable, which then get displayed inside books and onto the elevator walls. What a creative and brilliant idea for the artist at heart!!!! It’s another way of making the guest a part of the hotel’s history.

Rooms We stayed in one of the suites. The room was beautifully decorated with an artist in mind. I would have given the room 5-stars, but the floors were on a slight slant. Overall, very cozy and comfortable. Loved the idea of the exposed brick on the wall, the original French doors to the bathroom and my favorite was the jacuzzi tub – ahhh it was like being in Heaven.
Nearby activities The location was just perfect! Close to restaurants, shopping, the mall, and museum. We walked into town and the longest distance by foot,I would say, was about 15/20 minutes. Quaint little college town filled with boutiques and plenty of places to eat and shop. Definitely will be going back.
WalkabilityEverything was within close proximity of the Lancaster Hotel. Only used the car once. We walked to and from the main events.
Food & drinks Food, absolutely delicious! Drinks, on point!
Noteworthy details The town of Lancaster has maintained its original foot print in history. The Victorian homes are just beautiful. The Buildings still carry that industrial vibe with its original architecture, as if set in time, but yet there’s a modern edge as well. Timeless beauty

Very unique clean and amazing beds if your luck they will set fireworks off during a barnstormers baseball game during the summer.

I could even see the pitching mound! Plus they put a Rose and some nonpareils on your door every night, and if you don’t mind spending a little more to have the best farm to table food in Lancaster John J Jeffries is right downstairs and also easily allows you to take meals up to your room… Great location Great amenities best hotel I’ve stayed at
